  2. Are you optimally fuelling your body? Your nutrition is key to unlocking your full potential.
  3. Can you take action? Are you physically capable of putting the word of God into practice to achieve your purpose?

At Almighty Warriors our purpose is to encourage and equip you to lead a glorious and victorious life.

TO DO THIS NOW, HERE ON EARTH REQUIRES:

  1. Renew your mind (thoughts).
  2. Discover your unique purpose.
  3. Put it into action.

A renewing mind housed in a healthy strong body, purposed on glorifying God and being of service to others.

SIMPLE NOT EASY

DISCUSSION

  • Before you make your next decision weigh up the consequences.
    • Instant results.
    • Future ramifications.
  • What were the intentions of your previous/ past actions, and what is the intent of your next one?
  • What stronghold is holding you back?
    • Find the spiritual truth to defeat it.
    • Confess it over your life until you believe it.
    • Put it into action/practice in your life.
  • We tend to judge others by their actions, while at the same time judging ourselves by our intentions. This is not scriptural and is delusional, we are instructed to love others as we love ourselves. This necessitates you being honest with yourself. Your actions, not intentions, are what matters.
  • We are instructed to nurture, love and care for our bodies as Christ does the church!

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF

Would the following actions be beneficial (B) or detrimental (D) to achieving my long term objective of improving my Healthspan? So that I can glorify God and serve others.

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF – SPIRITUAL

  1. How do I grow spiritually?
  2. How do I renew my mind?
  • Daily quiet time, is it B/D?
  • Prayer, is it B/D?
  • Bible reading, is it B/D?
  • Fellowship with other believers is it B/D?

SIMPLE NOT EASY

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF – NUTRITION

  1.  Is there room to improve my nutrition?
  2. Am I in control of what, when and how much I eat? More, less or should I quit?
  • Water
  • Sugar
  • Vegetables
  • Smoking
  • Alcohol

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF – PHYSICAL ABILITY

  1. More or Less?
  • Physically active
  • Physical fitness (cardio: walk, run or bike)
  • Muscle mass (strength training)

2. Is there room for improvement?

  • Flexibility?
  • Mobility?
  • Balance?

IF SIMPLE WAS EASY WE WOULD NOT BE HAVING THIS DISCUSSION.

TIPS/ ADVICE

  • Starting takes courage.
  • Progress is not immediately obvious, stick with it. Remember why you started when the going is tough.
  • All things are possible with God. Don’t limit Him!
  • Adherence and consistency are key.

SIMPLE NOT EASY

 

  • Instil habits, don’t rely on motivation.
  • Fix the cause, don’t treat the symptoms.
  • Don’t let yesterday (worry) and tomorrow (anxiety) rob you of today! (present)
  • Learn by doing, experiential learning is key.
  • It all counts, move the average.

IF YOU DON’T MAKE TIME FOR YOUR WELLNESS, YOU WILL BE FORCED TO MAKE TIME FOR YOUR ILLNESS.
