Lamentations 3:21-23
But this I recall and therefore have I hope and expectation:
It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His tender compassions fail not.
They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness.
Psalm 19:7
The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the whole person; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
Jeremiah 17:10
I the Lord search the mind, I try the heart, even to give to every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.
1) Your hope and expectations are based on your understanding of God’s mercy and loving-kindness toward you every day and His abundant faithfulness.
2) Biblical instruction restores the whole person.
3) God searches the mind, tries your heart and rewards you according to the fruit of your doings.
God is loving-kindness, merciful and abundantly faithful. His instruction if you choose to apply it is intended to benefit the whole person. He tells you upfront that He will reward you with the fruit of your doings.
– Don’t blame God for the state you are in.
-If you are overweight, unfit, suffering from lifestyle diseases, it is your fault, not His.
-Own where you are at today, it is as a result of your habits and choices of yesterday.
– His mercy and loving-kindness are new every morning.
John 10:10

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

– Don’t rob yourself of living a full victorious life here on earth now.
– Jesus did not come to prepare you for death.
– Your job should you choose to accept it is to glorify God here on earth, now, to love and care for yourself so that you can be of most service and use to others.

 

How to win!

Acknowledge that there is a daily battle being fought daily, between your spirit and your flesh for control of your mind and body.

If you put biblical instruction into practice you will allow the Holy Spirit to control your spirit and your mind this will allow the mind to control your body.

Self-discipline, self-control is allowing the Holy Spirit to control your mind and win the battle against gluttony and sloth (fat and lazy).

Your healthspan is largely directly influenced by your choices and habits.

If you choose to; smoke, drink, eat too much too often, the wrong foods and drinks, and don’t exercise, you are choosing to willfully sabotage yourself.

Deuteronomy 30:19

I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live.

-Remember Jesus died so that you can live life on earth to the full. Glorify God, love and care for yourself so that you can love, care and be of service to others.
