The thief comes only in order to steal, kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life in abundance to the full, till it overflows. – John 10-10

Lust of the flesh (carnal nature of mankind)

An overwhelming desire or craving, usually sexual.

  • Adultery (sexual)
  • Gluttony (nutrition)
  • Sloth (exercise)
    • Think of lust as a seed planted in your heart, if it grows to maturity it will bring about death and destruction

You were created for a purpose, temptation and lust are there to steal and rob you from achieving your purpose; to kill your destiny, and stop you from leaving a legacy.

Your current results and outcomes are a lagging measure of your past behaviours and actions, which are directed by your feelings and emotions which in turn are influenced by your thoughts and beliefs.

That is why the word of God is so powerful if you believe it!
  • Believing alone is theoretical knowledge, we are expected to apply what we believe in our lives. It is essential to take action to do!
  • Putting biblical instruction, your beliefs into action will yield the results.
  • The Lord placed your desires, hopes and aspirations in your heart in the first place.
  • You have a purpose, you are either allowing the thief to steal, kill and destroy, or Jesus to lead you into an eternal abundant, enjoyable life.

Be proactive

  • Study and apply the word to your life.
  • Get practical, take action today.
  • Are the lusts of the flesh robbing you of being all you were created to be?
  • Gluttony – height to waist ratio (1:0.5).
  • Sloth – inactivity/ sedentary lifestyle?

Where no wise guidance is the people fail, but in the multitude of councellors there is safety. – Proverbs 11:14
