Revision – how do I start?

  1. First, replace your heart of stone with one of flesh. (Ezekiel 36:26)
    • So that it can become the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit.
    • So that you can act on or put into practice the word of God.
  2. .Sanctification – the action or process of becoming holy; in thought, purpose, and in your actions.
  3. Fasting -> pray -> receive power -> die to sin -> subdue the lust of the flesh so that your body becomes an implement of righteousness.
  4. It is never too late to start. You have to choose to change. You are where you are because of the choices you made.
  5. If that is not where you want to be, you need to make changes to get different outcomes.
  6. John 10:10 – Jesus came to give you a full victorious life here on earth. Now practice what he preached!
  7. Do you live a sedentary lifestyle? Is your height to weight ratio 1:0.5?

Proverbs 18:9 (AMPC)

a) Loose and slack in your work = brother to the destroyer.

b) Not using your endeavours to heal yourself = brother to suicide.

Grit = passion and perseverance to achieve long-term goals. (this requires determination)

  • You are an eternal being. You need to be focused on the bigger picture. Don’t limit God.
  • Don’t get despondent when progress is not obvious.
  • Remember why you started, when (not if) it gets tough.

Spiritual Process

No purpose, low self-esteem and lack of self-love -> self-love, and a clear purpose.
Own perspective of self -> see yourself as God does.
Inaction -> glorify God, serve and be useful to others.

Victorious living = well done my good and faithful servant.

ALIGNMENT – YOU NEED TO BELIEVE AND ACT ON SCRIPTURE! LUST OF FLESH VS. LOVE OF GOD

Steps to become aligned:

  • Change your behaviour so you can implement good habits to replace the old bad habits.
    • Read the bible, have quiet time, and pray daily.
  • Get active, “use it, or lose it!’
  • Consistency is key!
    • Fuel for a purpose (nutrition) – what, when, and how much you eat.
    • Train for a purpose (physical exercise) – cardio and resistance training. It is now proven that physical activity positively impacts your emotions and thoughts. It increases Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) by up to 32%.
  • Focus on moving the average, more successful days toward meeting your goals than unsuccessful ones.
    • Focus on your relationship with God, start regularly fasting, and get involved in some form of physical activity.
    • Health and fitness are simple, not easy.
  • Live in the present.
    • Anxiety is fixated on the future. Action is an antidote to anxiety.
    • Depression is fixated in the past.
